Estate Planning prepared by Rebecca D. Abbott, Attorney

Most of my law practice consists of setting up estate planning documents for my clients, whether they are elderly or young, single or married, wealthy or not. I do my best to help my clients be as comfortable as possible during our meetings, phone calls, and correspondence, all in an affordable way. I work quickly…within two weeks after we meet, I typically send out drafts to my clients for review, via either email or U.S. mail. There are exceptions, but typically I charge a set fee for the preparation and supervised signing of the final drafts before witnesses (I will provide the witnesses) of your estate planning documents. Please click the blue “See Pricing” button to review my current fee schedule, or call 865-777-1977 if you have questions regarding my fees.

Probate matters handled by Rebecca D. Abbott, Attorney

When representing the Executor or Administrator after someone has died with or without a Will, my services typically include the preparation and completion of Petition to Probate and all other court documents for filing, appearance before and correspondence with the County Probate Court and its administrators to obtain Letters Testamentary, obtaining a release from the Bureau of Tenncare, obtaining a Tax I.D. Number for the Estate, correspondence with the beneficiaries as needed, and the preparation of all other legal documents that must be filed with the County Probate Court so as to later close the estate. I will advise the Executor of his or her duties, and assist with carrying out these duties in accordance with the law. There are exceptions, but typically I charge a set fee for these services…please click the blue “See Pricing” button to review my current fee schedule. Please call 865-777-1977 if you have questions regarding my fees.

Other Legal Services provided by Rebecca D. Abbott, Attorney

I occasionally assist my clients with certain real estate transactions, contracts, and prenuptial agreements. If matters should involve litigation or an area of the law in which I do not practice, then I will do my best to provide you with the name of another attorney who can assist you.
